This is all I have to protect myself: Ad-Aware Personal, Spybot, and AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition.

Thing is this morning I started messing around and think that I got a virus.

How do I know well I downloaded Webroot Spy Sweeper Free Trial via Cnet and ran a scan to see whats going on and this was the result:

Items Found
Trojan-Downloader-Zlob: Which by what I read is incredibly dangerous
VirusBurst FakeAlert: Slows computer and so forth.

Ran AVG Anti-Virus, Ad-Aware and Spybot and nothing. None has been able to do anything about these two.

Which is the best way to go about this without spending to much. Any free programs that will eliminate this threat?

Please help:ughhh:

Step:1

Visit www.avast.com download, install the AV program and register to make it full version and do a thorough deep scan.
If there is any virus you should be able to detect something..

Step:2

Visit www.zonelabs.com and download spyware with firewall version. Run update to get latest virus definition than select deep inspection scan from options. Than proceed to deep scan.

I dont think TM housecall is that effective. It doesnt do 100% deep inspection scan that could take up to 2-3hrs depend on your HDD file size. It probably works if you're just doing some normal scan. Since your pc is already affected. You will need to go extra mile to get the job done. :modemman:

*** Avast is free after registration. But zonelabs provide 30 days free. Just Uninstall zonelabs after 30 days if you dont intend to keep it.
